R.I.P. K-cat (1988-2008)

(Note:  Had to edit the cat's name.  Apparently if you Google it, this post is the first result, and I don't need the in-laws running across this journal that easily).  :-)

K-cat came into our lives around November 1988. She showed up at our doorstep daily for breakfast, one of a litter of several tortoise shell cats in the neighborhood. And she was the second of the three cats we adopted in Dallas, and who accompanied us to Illinois and then to Michigan.

K-cat lived the longest. Didi the calico cat passed away in 2003 at age 16, and Vincent the orange tabby passed last year, also at age 16. K-cat only over the last month started her downhill climb, losing almost half her body weight in a few weeks. But she was feisty and loving up to the end. Her labored breathing and X-ray results let us know it was her time.

I almost never cry but I'm fighting tears as I write this. We love you, K-cat.

awwwwwwww

:::hugs:: I know pets are hard to lose after all they are part of your family. Its harder when you have no choice but to put them down but I know it gets easier as time goes by. I hope you buried her close so youll have her close. We buried alot of animals mostly dogs and horses. Hehe your probably wondering how we got a huge pony into the ground. It wasnt easy our neighbor had an exavator so he dug the hole and buried the old pony. He showed me how galloping was fun and how racing through corn made me laugh. Its the memories you have so dont be sad Larry we all love ya.

Re: awwwwwwww

Thanks missy, you're a sweetheart.

Re: awwwwwwww

no problem and I know only one way to be there for you with out being there like you do when i was down its easy to return the kindness youve shown me. I know youll bounce back but its easier when you have someone to talk too. Hehe dont stop being a big cuddley teddy bear. You never know you might get another kitty to fill the void. or a kitten they are fun to watch our 5 kittens are like little playfull toys

K-cat

I'm really sorry about K-cat. Animals are almost like our kids/family members and it is always a great loss when they leave us. You must have done a great job keeping her so healthy for 20 years. LR
