Announcing Motor City Moonshiners!

Well, Chicago Crimson Moon and Florida Moonshine finally have a sister organization here in the mitten state!

The first meeting of the charter members of Motor City Moonshiners was held last night. Founders Larry and Amy of Oakland County, and around 30 others, many who are veterans of the Metro Detroit Spanking Society, met for the first munch and party, and selected the name Motor City Moonshiners from among several nominations that kept true to the "moon" theme.

A web site will be created for the organization, and my babygirl Tat was selected to coordinate design and development. The goal will be to have monthly munches/parties, with at least one large party per year, to be set at a time that does not conflict with the parties in Chicago or Florida. Much is still to be decided and there will be announcements made at the Yahoo Group as well as here, including the date of the next munch in September.

So Michigan spankos finally have a local option for keeping their seats warm and their arms limber. We hope you'll join us at upcoming events!

Time for Chicago Crimson Moon! This time I'll get a chance to represent e-Rabbit Productions, owner of SpankThatBrat.com and afficiated sites at the vendor fair. Very soon, HeadmastersOffice.com will be under e-Rabbit Productions (the move to the server should happen soon) and then we will be looking at a complete site re-design, with an emphasis on girls who report to the Headmaster for real correction real-life issues. We will be emphasizing more traditional punishments, but we'll be sure to keep some of the edginess, too.

I did have a chance to shoot a couple scenes with the lovely Audrey Knight recently. The pic below is from "Juris Justice," filmed for SpankThatBrat.com. Audrey is a naughty paralegal who is about to be taught the importance of puncuality.

I'll put a few more up later from a scene shot for the new HeadmastersOffice.com.

Yeah, yeah, I know.

Let's see. Work has been busy. Money is tight, but getting by. That's the case everywhere, it seems.

Very eventful couple of months. My babygirl Tat, who moved to Michigan in March, moved into her first house this month with roommate NaughtyFreckles. It was great. The two kinksters would split the rent and commute to work together, and could host fellow spankos when they visited. But naughty NaughtyFreckles got transferred to Chicago and just moved last week. So Tat has this (relatively) huge house to herself. Fortunately it's in a very safe neighborhood. All she needs is a good nightlight and an occasional visitor. And of course frequent bedtime spankings to help her sleep.

Went to Detroit Space party the other day. Thanks to Master Grizzley and Litala and all the organizers for a great time. Tat and I went with NaughtyFreckles and her dom Suburban Spanker, and close friends Sarahnade and Attitude Adjuster (all of the above, and a link to Detroit Space, can be found on Fetlife). Most of them can also be found on SpankingTherapy.

Next stop: Crimson Moon Summer Spectacular in Chicago at the end of July!

I'll post more soon about some new spanking sites that have recently been formed (the more the merrier, or should I say, the owww-ier).

Increase awareness of connective tissue illness

May is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Awareness Month. EDS is a debilitating, and potentially fatal connective tissue disorder. It is estimated that 1 in 5,000 people suffer from the condition.

The majority of sufferers - approximately 90 percent - go undiagnosed until a medical emergency arises. These emergencies can be life-threatening, and include arterial rupture, bowel rupture, or rupture of other internal organs. Less serious but painful emergencies such as spontaneous joint dislocations can also occur.

Unfortunately, most physicians are not prepared to recognize the symptoms prior to an emergency. As a result, patients often see multiple specialists in attempt to get a diagnosis that explains their numerous symptoms. Increased awareness of EDS will lead to earlier, more accurate diagnosis. In addition, it will provide EDS patients with a sense a validation and an improved quality of life. For more information, please visit: www.ednf.org.

My reason for posting the above letter, aside from the fact that it is still May, is that a good friend is struggling to have as normal as possible a life while dealing with severe EDS and other conditions (fibromyalgia, for one) and has done exceedingly well despite the obstacles and challenges (I have written about her previously in this journal). The saddest part of her struggle seemed to have been the element of the unknown, and the inability of several professionals to property diagnose the condition for several years (and the continual disbelief by many that the condition was even real).

My friend has become stronger through this, though her struggles have not abated. Her dream of becoming an endocrinologist, in the hope of providing healing to others, is real, though the challenges probably make the dream seem more distant than it really is (I have faith she will make it and will help make others' lives better as a result).

Here's to great strides in the understanding and appreciation of this condition, and to those professionals who are dedicated to making life better for those so afflicated. And here's to my friend. "May" all your dreams come true!

MichiganHeadmaster does California

Okay, here are the first pics from our visit to sunny southern California, where the beaches are warm and so are the bottoms. Our hosts Chris and the lovely Sasha, owners of SpankThatBrat, SpankingDigest and affiliated sites, welcomed us and afforded us a "behind" the scenes view of their operations. There was serious talk of combining efforts and bringing HeadmastersOffice.com under the umbrella of their enterprises. The result will certainly be more exciting videos and pictorials down the road for all the sites. Much is still being discussed, but the consensus seems to be that HeadmastersOffice.com will be regularly updated with real spankings for real offenses. The models need not be centerfold material, but just average girls in need of correction. And as a matter of fact, I will be actively recruiting models (victims?) for our first set of shoots, to be announced soon. I'm happy to report that a good friend in Michigan has launched a new site for those interested in Domestic Discipline. Lostgirl, a contributing member of both SpankingNeeds and SpankingTherapy, has identified the need for a site dedicated to those searching for a domestic discipline partner and to discussion of the subject.

Her creation is the Domestic Discipline Spanking Lifestyle discussion board. I encourage all readers with any interest or anything to contribute to join and post. For those with experience, your insights will be appreciated.

So, anyone else joining us at the Chicago Crimson Moon 2009 March Badness Party? It starts this Friday and will consist of three days and two nights of spanking, bratting and more spanking. And, maybe, a meal break or two.

It's too late to sign up for this party, but I heartily recommend that fellow mid-westerners join up in time for the next one (the big one will be at the end of July and then the Halloween party in October.

Six and a half months old, and we hit 400 members! 408 as of today, actually, and growing. As we grow, more opportunities for connections arise. One thing I've noticed is that many more spankers are needed out there, and there are spankees who are willing to take a chance with an inexperienced but mature and trustworthy spanker/mentor to provide discipline and accountability.

Keeping my New Year's Resolutions

I said I was going to post more as a New Year's resolution. So, here is my post. (Insert tongue-sticking-out gif here).

Actually, though, I did keep one resolution, which was to cut out sweets. Already got a few comments about losing weight, thought it doesn't seem like I am yet. That brings up the working out resolution. Better get on the ball on that one.

And for you smart asses out there, I am not getting spanked if I don't do it. :-)

R.I.P. K-cat (1988-2008)

(Note: Had to edit the cat's name. Apparently if you Google it, this post is the first result, and I don't need the in-laws running across this journal that easily). :-)

K-cat came into our lives around November 1988. She showed up at our doorstep daily for breakfast, one of a litter of several tortoise shell cats in the neighborhood. And she was the second of the three cats we adopted in Dallas, and who accompanied us to Illinois and then to Michigan.

K-cat lived the longest. Didi the calico cat passed away in 2003 at age 16, and Vincent the orange tabby passed last year, also at age 16. K-cat only over the last month started her downhill climb, losing almost half her body weight in a few weeks. But she was feisty and loving up to the end. Her labored breathing and X-ray results let us know it was her time.

I almost never cry but I'm fighting tears as I write this. We love you, K-cat.

Abigail reports to the Headmaster

Not much to say, as the picture probably speaks for itself. Abigail - -college student, model, editor and webmistress and all-around very busy (and very cool) girl, is now a very, very good girl after a long, hard spanking. And don't let the smiles fool you. The Headmaster is very tired, and Abi is very sore. Kudos to Audrey (Abi's best friend) who has to work hard to keep Abi in line, as can be seen at SpankThatBrat.com. Audrey has her hands full every day. The Headmaster only has to correct Abi every few weeks. Fortunately, Audrey has very strong arms.

Speaking of which, when does Audrey have to report to the Headmaster's Office, hmmm? :-)

Well, I was sort of bummed out about not being able to make Chicago Crimson Moon's Halloween Party (October 31 to November 2) this year, especially seeing as Halloween is the Headmaster's birthday and all, but that is our traditional day to go trick or treating with the niece and nephews and I didn't see how to pull it off.

But, i figure if I drive out early Saturday (day after Halloween) I can still do the traditional thing, and also make most of day 2 and 3.

This year will see several new attendees from SpankingTherapy.org, some of whom I've never met in person, so I'll registration in by the deadline and plan on making it barring any major incidents.

So, anyone else planning on attending? Let me know!

Michigan Spankos Launch Spanking Site!

I'm not sure what it is about the mitten state, but Michigan and surrounding states seem to be a mecca for those into disciplinary spanking, as evidenced by local participation in sites such as SpankingNeeds.com and SpankingTherapy.org.

Until now, though, those sites dedicated to videos and pictorials of real spankings seem to have been centered in California and Texas. My own HeadmastersOffice.com was one exception (and yes, I do plan to rejuvenate and rework the site and add more content this fall), but now we have a new addition from the state that looks like a big hand.

The bittersweet pride when spankees "graduate"

Yeah, I know, it's been a while since I posted. :-)

It's not that nothing has happened. On the contrary, it's been an eventful summer (and thank goodness for the cool almost-fall temperatures here in Michigan). So much has happened, with work, family and mentoring, it's been hard to find time to reflect and write.

But, the other day I got an e-mail from someone with whom I've worked for months, and who was able to re-start her graduate program and complete a successful first semester with almost daily encouragement punctuated by monthly discipline sessions (monthly because she is a ways away and visiting often requires an overnight stay).

Well, the second semester started and we were going to discuss meeting last weekend (and it was probably not a good weekend for travel, given the nonstop rain all weekend). Last Wednesday or Thursday she send a message that, in a very apologetic tone, informed me that 1) she thinks the discipline sessions are no longer crucial to her academic progress, and 2) she is beginning a relationship and is not anxious to either explain why she sees me nor sneak around doing it.

Well, either reason by itself is perfectly valid, and I understood completely. One person had previously told me she needed to stop because she could not longer reconcile this with her religious faith. Again, I was able to understand and I never want a person to feel conflicted (though that person did come back for a while).

In both cases, the letters were punctuated by praise and almost a sense of remorse. In the most recent one, she wondered if I would ever speak with her again. I had to write back instantly to reassure her to perish that thought. I've said over and over that this is never about the mentor, it is about what is good for the person being mentored. Okay, yeah, it is somewhat about the mentor, as we get satisfaction out of this, but ultimately our satisfaction rests in what good we can do. Anyway, we have chatted several times since and she is doing great.

Not all people who seek mentoring or spanking/discipline therapy are lifetime adherents to this (i.e., not everyone is a lifetime "spanko" and some are not even "spankos" in any sense - they just thrive on the accountability and the discipline). For many, the mentoring is a short-term means to improvement in one area, or the extra incentive to achieve a particular goal. For those, there will be a "graduation"; that is, an identifiable point where the short-term (or maybe even long-term) goal has been achieved, and the mentoring is superfluous. For those, it is time to graduate and move on. But the idea that it is a disappointment to the mentor is ridiculous. In the process of doing this, long-term friendships are forged. Those will never go away. It is always bittersweet when someone moves on, but it is also often a cause for joy.

So, to my good friend, if you are reading, congratulations on your accomplishments. You have made me very proud, and your words of thanks will stay with me and inspire me to want to keep helping others in this way. Thank you for being you, and may God bless and keep you in your journey.

Learning at the Hands of the Master

Well, last weekend was the Chicago Crimson Moon 3-day summer spanking party. I will paste below a few excerpts from my account of the party on SpankingTherapy.org, and then add some follow up comments.

For those unaware, Crimson Moon is a Chicago based organization that hosts parties for those in the spanking lifestyle, welcoming those who are into it for discipline, therapy or erotic reasons. As I understand it, CM has been around for 15 to 20 years, well before the internet got popular.

I understand that 80 or so people registered for this year’s summer party (the next party is in October). Most of these arrived on Friday, so Thursday night was a good night just to get acquainted.

Most of the play (or “sessions,” as I will refer to them) started Friday night and went well into the early hours of Saturday. ............ One person ................ was willing to be introduced to the cane, which I always held can be addictive if introduced properly. CM member Morgan, a close friend of London Tanner, set up his room as “Morgan’s Den” complete with wine, sausage and cheese and displayed the entire London Tanner collection, along with a huge assortment of canes. He was gracious to lend me a few for the purpose I intended ...............

Now, I knew the London Tanner, an expert caner, was on his way, and in case our spankee did have an opportunity to get six of the best from a pro, I wanted her to already be acclimated. So I introduced her to mild use of a thin and a medium cane, just enough to learn the effects – initial sting and afterburn. If done correctly with occasional sharp strokes and rubbing in between, a new canee can process the sensation and then not freak out when caned for real.

Well, the spankee did in fact like the cane, and word got out that there was a “good caner” in the bullding and more arrived to sample it. Now, the truth is I am just an okay caner, not a “good caner” by any means, and it wasn’t easy to live up to the expectations of the more experienced ones who wanted to be caned........ Thankfully, Ian (London Tanner) arrived and was surrounded and begged to demonstrate a professional caning before he could even unpack. He was happy to oblige. His poor assistant obligingly took several strokes while he explained the correct procedure, and then three other spankees each took turns getting six of the best, and I could tell the intensity would have been enough to bring anyone to the verge of tears except for those who had been caned dozens of times before.

The night went on with lots of sessions going on in various rooms, but most attendees, even the experienced ones, were holding off until Saturday to bring out the heavy artillery (it gets hard to continue sessioning with too many bruises). So I alternated spanking with hanging out with Morgan and his friends and comparing notes on various implements.

I was ready to hit the sack at 2 am, but found out that CM’s “mom,” Bonnie (who I named with permission) makes it a habit to get spanked by every newby as an icebreaker and to make them feel welcome. Well, I was ordered to wait, while she got spanked by another newby, and then wait again for her to put another member to bed with a spanking that she gave, so I obliged............

About 3 am, Bonnie came to my room, and even though she had to be up at 8 to braid someone’s hair (long story), she spent an hour telling me the complete history of CM and how in the early days you had to travel 2 miles to an adult book store to get a fetish magazine by Shadow Lane (I think it was called “Stand Corrected”) which had an ad for CM, and you had to write to a P.O. Box, and wait for a reply, then send back an application, etc., until you finally knew when and where the parties were. I also learned everything about her, her family and where she ever lived and all the CM affiliates she has helped set up. I only wish I was awake enough to remember much of it!

Well, it ended with about a 30 minute spanking (yes, she had been spanked all day and was able to take a good hairbrushing and strapping with no problem – she actually appeared to enjoy every stroke). And like I said it was my pleasure to oblige. But I will add that she is a very classy lady, and reflects the very best of CM.

I hung around long enough today to get all the items I wanted at the vendor fair (well, not ALL the items – I didn’t have that much money) but I did get a nice London Tanner Irish School Strap ........... and a cane ..... that Ian recommended (for only $20.00) and a VERY stingy London Tanner granny paddle (who will be the first to try it?).

Well, the only follow up I can add to the above account is that, since returning to Michigan, I have had two opportunities to deliver "six of the best" with my new cane, putting into practice the pointers given by Ian. And the feedback is that the cane is VERY effective. I don't know if it's more the cane or the technique, but in both instances the canee could barely maintain her breath after the third stroke.

I'll try to post a pic soon. Meantime, always looking for volunteers to practice on. :-)

Eleven Days, Eleven Spankings

I've had a bit of time to recover, but I think I had my longest streak yet. Starting the weekend of Saturday, July 12, when I scheduled a noon session, then had someone come in from out of town for an afternoon session, followed by another session on Sunday afternoon. Add to that three sessions during the following week (two on one day), followed by another weekend with three sessions, followed by sessions on Monday and Tuesday evenings last week. Did I miss anyone? Yep, that is exactly 11 sessions in 11 days. Since three people had repeat sessions, that is a total of 8 spankees.

I did have some recovery time. No more spankings until yesterday (Sunday) when I had the chance to go to Toledo and help with a discipline session with one of my regulars who went to spend a few intense days with a popular female disciplinarian.

So, let's see. Going into the weekend, I have sessions scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, and then one on my way to Chicago Crimson Moon, where I tentatively have one session scheduled the first night with a member of SpankingTherapy.org. On my return from Crimson Moon, I have two more sessions scheduled on Sunday.

Luckily, on August 6, another member of SpankingTherapy.org is coming to Detroit for a week, who says she gives a great massage. TC, I will definitely need your services by then! Please bring plenty of Capsaicin! :-)

Spanking the "Girls Next Door"

This is the last in a series on the Florida Moonshine Tropical Beach Party.

This post will be short. The pictures below are far more aesthetic than any words I can conjure up.

One of the featured events at the Florida Moonshine Tropical Beach Party, and one which was of interest to me as an aspiring spanking webmaster, was the live video production for AmateurSpankings.com. Event attendee had the opportunity to witness a live video shoot with popular and down-to-earth models, all of whom can be seen chatting and posting in one of my favorite discussion boards, MySpankingForum.com and elsewhere.

Amateur Spankings' webmaster, Gary, simultaneously acted as disciplinarian and narrated the shoot for attendees. The premise was that the girls had "borrowed" a car for a joyride, and paid the price with a half-dozen strokes each with the London Tanner Irish School Strap.

Gary and the models were in good humor throughout the demonstration, even to the point that one might have been misled as to the sting caused by the London Tanner strap. However, I can attest that this strap is quite formidable, and the visible welts on the girls' bottoms is further evidence of the effectiveness of this implement.

Regularly updated, AmateurSpankings.com bills itself as the place were the "girls next door" come to get spanked. From their site:

Headmaster's Office Update

Got some new equipment, and got to use them all on the same day.

First, I've been wanting a hardwood stool for corner time - something that will make the spankee sit with her feet off the ground. Found the perfect stool at Target. It is called a "Saddle Barstool." It was just a bit more expensive than the round ones, but it looked like it was the right shape to double as a makeshift spanking bench, and I was right. It is the same height as my desk, and when placed next to it, it is perfect for someone to straddle while bending over the desk.

Next, my spankee for tonight brought me a new present (and yes, it was used). She was not impressed with my rattan loopy johnny, so she made this one out of coaxial cable for me (and naturally, regretted it). Warning: This can be severe. Use with great caution. You do NOT have to hit hard with it!

Finally, my contrite spankee contemplating her behavior and punishment in the corner on my new stool (picture taken and posted with her permission).

So, who will be next to sit in the punishment chair? (Don't worry, the loopy johnny is staying in the drawer unless you are REALLY bad!)

Introducing the all-new SpankingTherapy Discussion and Chat Board

This is a brainchild of my good friend and mentee, Lilac. We wanted to created a discussion and chat board dedicated strictly to adult nonsexual disciplinary and therapeutic spanking, with a user interface accessible to both members and those who just wish to browse as guests, and which incorporated a 24/7 chat board with easily available links at the top of each page.

The result is SpankingTherapy.org. We cordially invite this Journal's readers to drop in and check out the look and feel, and let us know what you think. Feel free to join and post, or just browse. We will be adding discussion topics daily.

If you know of an event of interest to spankers, feel free to post it on the calendar section. There is also a forum for outside links, so you may feel free to link to your site (nothing graphic, though, please).

We certainly welcome those in domestic discpline relationships to join, as well as those who benefit in any way from regular spanking therapy.

Maybe the lesson is don't promise too much. But then there is that whole "Aim for the stars, and hit the moon" thing.

Anyway, my intent was to train for and run in the Volkslaufe, as I did in 2001, but I realized after hitting 3 1/2 to 4 miles, I no longer have anything resembling a runner's build. Not that I couldn't get it back, which is the point of the running, but I did make a decision to go with lower impact this summer, and thus have been riding my 10-speed a lot more. In fact, my wife just got her 27 speed (I can't quite figure out when you actually use all those speeds. I basically use two speeds on my 10 speed) and we've been riding several miles a night.

So, this morning I will go on a long ride (probably not 20K, but reasonably long) and then off to a barbecue with in-laws.

So, to all of you out exercising and or celebrating, have a safe and healthy weekend. And to all my U.S. readers, have a very happy and safe Independence Day, giving thanks to those who have given us our freedoms.

Meeting The London Tanner

This is the second in a series on the Florida Moonshine beach party in Tampa Bay.

And, I even got to it in the same month as the party!

I hope that the buildup doesn't make the account anti-climactic.

The fact is, meeting Ian, the "London Tanner," who is simultaneously larger than life (he's a big guy) and down to earth can never be anti-climactic.

Ian has been involved in the spanking community for a long, long time (since I don't know how long exactly, "long long" will have to suffice). But at least since his late teens, according to his bio.

I came across Ian as a fellow member of WorldSpankingForum, and later Happy Tails and MySpankingForum, as well as SpankingNeeds. I was long an admirer of his implements, longing to own one even as I longed for someone upon whom to use them. I could only admire them from afar via many of the spanking video sites I would visit.

Well, the deserving bottoms finally came, thanks to the above mentioned meet-up sites. At first, I had to improvise with dollar store and flea market items (nothing wrong with that). But finally, a couple years ago, I got a few extra dollars and had to order the very best.

The London Tanner has more paddles and straps than you can, well, shake a stick at. I had to narrow down my choices to a couple affordable and versatile items. I settled on the Corporal Punishment Ruler Paddle and the Rectangular Pocket Discipline Paddle, (scroll down to see them) spending less than $100.00 on well made, hand crafted items that have served me over and over and over again with barely a nick or a scratch (except for the occasional welts and bruises caused by hard use). What I love about the above items, in addition to the reasonable price, is the ability to use each for over the knee, or while the spankee is lying down or bending over.

Well, it turns out Ian is a coordinator for Florida Moonshine, so he was my point of contact for many questions. On the phone or via e-mail, Ian is one of the most personable people I have ever met. Ever courteous, and with that British accent that goes with the art of instruments of corporal punishment, Ian was always pleasant and helpful.

That view was upheld on our first meeting. Florida Moonshine was my first ever spanking party, and I knew virtually nobody. Plus, I was not arriving until day two, after the opening get-acquainted events were over. I was very fortunate to find Ian shortly after my arrival, and to have lunch with him while waiting for the next scheduled event, a live shoot for Amateur Spankings which would feature, it turned out, the London Tanner Irish School Strap (scroll down).

Ian introduced me to many of the organizers and attendees, going out of his way to make a newcomer feel welcome. He has a great sense of humor, and can spin a yarn with the best of them. And does he have stories to tell, too! Next time I need to bring a tape recorder!

I mentioned Ian is big. Did I also mention he has large hands, and can hit hard? No, I didn't feel it. Not directly, anyway. After the Amateur Spankings shoot, while the models were still sore from his Irish School Strap, he playfully picked up one still-bratty model who was all but asking for it, threw her over his knee, and gave her three or four swats that were so hard I felt them from where I was sitting a foot away. Made me wonder why in the world he needs leather implements. Well, the obvious reason is that the rest of us are not Ian, so we need his fine products.

My next purchase will be the Irish School Strap. No, it's not cheap, but it will be worth saving for. It will make a fine addition to the Headmaster's Office, and I have a few spankees who will need to be introduced to it soon enough. I did get to pick it up and feel it myself. It is weighted, and apparently takes only the slightest touch to sting like anything (as I found out tapping myself on the thigh). It didn't sound like the Amateur Spanking models had been spanked that hard, but now I understand how a few swats with that strap caused the long lasting redness I later observed.

By the way, I asked Ian if he made other leather items. The answer was no, only spanking implements. Hmm. So, I asked if he had another line of work then. No, The London Tanner was his only line. With spanking model Bailey as his spokeswoman, The London Tanner business is serving not only Ian, but the entire spanking community, quite well. Thousands of spankees have Ian to thank for their red and swollen bottoms.

So, thanks, ian, for showing me a a good time, and for your years of service to all us spankos.

New Additions to the Headmaster's Office!

Thanks so much to my good friends Lilac, Christy and Zambonimom of Spankingneeds.com for their generosity in helping keep the Headmaster's Office supplied with spanking-new (pun intended) tools of the trade. Pictured below are the converted Goalie stick from Zambonimom's ice arena (yes, she does drive a zamboni), as well as the Noir Leather wooden paddle from Lilac and the hand-made "holey" OTK paddle from Christy.

The only catch is that I cannot use them on the "givers." Well, Lilac, Christy, and ZM, I am sure many others will be rubbing their bottoms and "thanking" you for your kind generosity. :-D
